Youth Registration for 2023 season

As with previous years, we have gone fully automated and you can now register all Youth on-line at the sites below. Please register by Friday 21st April at the latest so we
have all the names ready for the first Friday training on 28th April 2023.

All Stars and Dynamos will start on Friday 5th May, so please sign up to those programmes by Friday 28th April.

AllStars - For Children in School Year Groups Reception to Year 3
All Stars Cricket initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board is aimed at providing children with a great first experience of cricket. We are also offering 10 weeks instead of the national 8 week programme - so finishing on Friday 7th July.

Registration and payment is done completely online and doesn't require any CCCC registration paperwork. You can sign your child up now by following the attached link below and completing the online registration process. Remember to select Challow and Childrey Cricket Club as your centre

Dynamo's - For children aged 8-11 who have no cricket experience
Dynamos Cricket provides a fantastic next step for all those graduating from All Stars Cricket and the perfect introduction for all 8-11 year-olds new to the sport! We are also offering 10 weeks instead of the national 8 week programme - so finishing on Friday 7th July

Complementing our youth cricket, Dynamo's provides children with a more social offer focused on developing fundamental movement skills and applying them to an exciting game of countdown cricket. If your child has done Dynamo's for 2 years or more we would recommend you register for the Under 11's Team if they are happy to do hard ball cricket.

Every child who registers will receive their very own Dynamo's Cricket New Balance t-shirt, personalised with their name and number.

Membership Fees

It is important to the Club that cricket is available to and enjoyed by every single one of our youth members. We can provide financial help to ensure every youth member can experience the joy and fun that cricket has to offer. We understand that at times families can face financial difficulty and challenge. We are fortunate to have the support of the Management Committee which has a particular interest in supporting children's enrichment through cricket. In some circumstances it may be possible to partially help with the cost of youth membership fees, although these funds are increasingly limited.

If you have any questions regarding the payment of youth membership fees please do not hesitate to contact the Club Welfare Officer, Stefan Pilcher on 07946 637721 or via email on welfare@challowcricket.co.uk

Safeguarding of Children

As an ECB 'Clubmark' accredited organisation we are committed to ensuring that all children have a safe, positive and fun experience whilst they are with us. We take seriously our responsibilities to ensure the safety and welfare of children within the game. If you have any questions regarding the safeguarding of children please do not hesitate to contact the Club Welfare Officer (Stefan Pilcher) on 07946 637721 or via email welfare@challowcricket.co.uk

Code of Conduct
As part of our commitment to ensure that we operate a fun and safe environment for all can we please remind parents/carers of the following:
• Children aged school years Reception to 6 MUST have a parent or responsible adult remain at the club for the duration of the training session. DO NOT drop off and leave your child.
• Children aged school years Reception to 3 are to wear their All Stars personalised kit. Children signing onto Dynamo's to wear provided shirt. Children aged school years 4 to 6 are to wear cricket whites for training sessions (or at least a white t-shirt with light trousers/shorts) so coaches can differentiate between those taking part in training sessions and those who are not.
• When your child is not participating in their training session they must be supervised at all times and not play on the outfield when other training sessions are taking place. This extends to children who are coming to watch others train and to the older age groups who may be arriving early for their session.
• Children should not be allowed to play near the wicket covers
• Children should not use the practice nets after 4:30pm on a Friday evening unless it is as part of their supervised training session.
• Club kit should only be used by coaches for their training session and not removed from the box without prior permission.
Clearly the last thing we want to do is to stop people from having fun, but we need to maintain our high safety standards and ensure those training and visiting can enjoy themselves in a safe environment.
