We are now able to confirm the timings for each of the groups. All training youth training will take place on Friday nights, the bulk of the groups will start on Friday 26th April 2024 (cue the torrential downpour) and run through until Friday 14th July 2023.
All Stars and Dynamos will start in line with the National Launch on Friday 5th May 2023.

All Stars Cricket - 4.30pm-5.30pm (starting Friday 5th May)
Dynamos Cricket - 5pm-6pm (starting Friday 5th May)
Under 11s (Years 5&6 or 2 year of Dynamo's) - 6pm-7pm
Under 13s (Years 7&8) - 6.30pm-7.30pm
Under 15s (Years 9&10) - 7pm-8pm

Unfortunately this year we are not in a position to deliver Girls only cricket due to a lack of coaches to lead this group - should you be interested in helping with Girls cricket please do reach out to us.

Players in school years 11 upwards should sign up for 'adult membership' and can access the senior training on Tuesdays and Thursdays , as well as match opportunities in the three Saturdays teams, one Wednesday night team, and the Under 19 T20 team.

Women's Cricket will again take place on Fridays, starting 5th May, with the session running from 7pm-8pm.

We have kept the cost of youth cricket as low as we are able, at £45. Please be aware that we do not pay any of our coaches, helpers, or other volunteers - everybody involved with cricket at Challow does so free of charge (normally at their own actual cost)

Should you wish to make a voluntary additional donation to the Club, to allow us to continue to invest in our facilities, develop and improve these facilities, and indeed to help us meet the everyday running costs of the club you can do so here when signing up for youth cricket by selecting the 'additional donation' - we are able to claim Gift Aid on your kind donations.

The Adult Membership option is for those who would like to be social or playing members (this is not required in addition to the Youth Fees).

To understand the different groups, and which one is most suitable for your young cricketer, please see the descriptions in the section below.

So which group is right for my mini Joe Root?

For Children in School Year Groups Reception to Year 3
Due to the ongoing success the 'All Stars' cricket programme we will continue this for 2023. All Stars Cricket initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board is aimed at providing children with a great first experience of cricket. We are also offering 10 weeks instead of the national 8 week programme.
Registration and payment is done completely online and doesn't require any registration with Challow directly. Remember to select Challow and Childrey Cricket Club (otherwise another club will be expecting to see you!!).

For children aged 8-11 who have no cricket experience Dynamos Cricket provides a fantastic next step for all those graduating from All Stars Cricket and the perfect introduction for all 8-11 year-olds new to the sport!
Complementing our youth cricket, Dynamo's provides children with a more social offer focused on developing fundamental movement skills and applying them to an exciting game of countdown cricket.
Every child who registers will receive their very own Dynamo's Cricket New Balance t-shirt, personalised with their name and number.
If you child has done Dynamo's for more than 2 years then we would recommend they register for the U11's team (if they are happy to play hardball).

For all other Children in School Year Groups 4 - 10
These sessions will all be based around Hardball Cricket, with matchplay opportunities in our various OCB Competition Teams. Players in Years 4 and above who have either played hardball cricket at school or other clubs should sign up to this group.
No paper - you can now register online at the site below, You only need to sign on ONCE per child. Please note the parents details go into 'contact details' and children's details in the 'ticket name' section.
