Training

Whilst we still have a bit of work to do on the logistics of training nights, we're now able to confirm the timings for each of the groups. All training youth training will take place on Friday nights, with a few tweaks to the times from last year to allow us to manage the flow of people better and keep all of our players, families and volunteers safe. The bulk of the groups will start on Friday 23rd April (cue the torrential downpour), with All Stars, Dynamos, and the Girls groups only starting on Friday 7th May.

All Stars Cricket - 4.30pm-5.30pm (starting Friday 7th MAy)
Dynamos Cricket - 5pm-6pm (starting Friday 7th May)

Womens Cricket will again take place on Fridays, starting 7th May, with the session running from 7pm-8pm.

By starting some groups on the later date we will be able to familiarise ourselves with the entry and exit procedures needed, and indeed make any changes required. We have also set the cost of all of the groups at £40 (except the Girls Only which is still free of charge). The Adult Membership option is for those who would like to be social or playing members (this is not required in addition to the Youth Fees).
Should you wish to make a voluntary additional donation to the Club, to allow us to continue to invest in our facilities, develop and improve these facilities, and indeed to help us meet the everyday running costs of the club you can do so here voluntary donation

For Children in School Year Groups Reception to Year 3
Due to the ongoing success the 'All Stars' cricket programme we will continue this for 2021. All Stars Cricket initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board is aimed at providing children with a great first experience of cricket. We are also offering 10 weeks instead of the national 8 week programme.
Registration and payment is done completely online and doesn't require any registration with Challow directly. Remember to select Challow and Childrey Cricket Club (otherwise another club will be expecting to see you!!).

For children aged 8-11 who have no cricket experience
Dynamos Cricket provides a fantastic next step for all those graduating from All Stars Cricket and the perfect introduction for all 8-11 year-olds new to the sport!
Complementing our youth cricket, Dynamo's provides children with a more social offer focused on developing fundamental movement skills and applying them to an exciting game of countdown cricket.
Every child who registers will receive their very own Dynamo's Cricket New Balance t-shirt, personalised with their name and number.

For all other Children in School Year Groups 4 - 10
These sessions will all be based around Hardball Cricket, with matchplay opportunities in our various OCB Competition Teams. Players in Years 4 and above who have either played hardball cricket at school or other clubs should sign up to this group.
No paper - you can now register online at the site below, You only need to sign on ONCE per child. Please note the parents details go into 'contact details' and children's details in the 'ticket name' section.

Girl's Only Training
The sessions will be softball based and girls in school years 7 and above are encouraged to come along and bring their friends. This session is free of charge, however girls in this group are also welcome to join the relevant Friday night training for their age group (although that may well be more hardball based in the older age groups). Girls who are in Primary School and are trying cricket for the first time should sign up to either All Stars (Years Reception to Year 3) or Dynamos Cricket (Year 4 to Year 6)
Should they wish to attend the Friday night training as well, then the normal membership fee will apply. The free girls only sessions will commence on Friday 7th May.
