Joining the growing rank of sponsors, we welcome housebuilders Mactaggart & Mickel. The family-owned company not only gave a donation of a £1000 but signed a two year deal. As a club we rely heavily on our sponsors, we've faced a challenging time due to months of inactivity caused by the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Their donation has been instrumental in allowing us to carry out some much-needed changes to our facilities, in this case ripping up the tired and little used artificial wicket.
Challow and Childrey Cricket Club head groundsman Mark Roche said, "It's fair to say we were hit for six by Mactaggart & Mickel's generous show of support - it came out of the blue when we needed a helping hand more than ever. It's great to hear that thud of willow on leather again and we hope our new Childrey Park neighbours will find their way up the hill to pay us a visit this summer when cricket gets back into full swing."
